What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health

 

Account Management is responsible for cultivating and maintaining on-going customer relationships with an assigned set of customers. Provides new and existing customers with the best possible service and recommendations in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, improvements to internal and external processes, and other areas of opportunity. Provides product service information to customers and identifies upselling opportunities to maintain and increase income streams from customer relationships.

 

This position services customers within Specialty Solutions. The Account Manager will be responsible for creating a positive customer experience within the Oncology and Urology customer base by providing pricing support and issue resolution, allowing a “one-stop shop” for the customer’s day-to-day needs.  This role will partner closely with Account Executives and New Business Sales Executives to ensure retention of any new or existing oncology practices. The ideal candidate has experience working in the healthcare industry.

 

Accountabilities

  • Monitor daily for pricing & contract accuracy via customer analytics.  
  • Working with BI&A to set up additional support where needed.
  • Order tracking and customer service levels monitoring.  
  • Pull out critical insights that could be opportunity and customer contact between AE and Customer
  • Issue Resolution/Internal Partnerships
  • Work where needed with GPO, credit, customer service, sourcing, etc to manage through issue resolution where needed
  • Assist with all aspects of customer onboarding
  • Support customer go-live activities including coordinating the paperwork to be signed, ensuring there are no outstanding action items from a sales perspective

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience working in account management
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience working in distribution a plus
  • Strong communication skills

 

Location

  • Remote, telecommuter
  • 25% travel: must be available to travel to La Vergne, TN every nine weeks for 3-4 days, as well as travel to visit clients once per quarter

  • Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy
